These are some sketches of a character I'm doing for a musical production. This character is a moon spirit, royalty, her costume is based on the Heian period of Japan with influences from other eras. The idea is to make her grand, beautiful and conservative (by her peoples standards).The top three are the designs that appealed to the client, the bottom three are my favourites.
